After making her return to the elite level in 2017, dashing midcourter Elisapeta Toeava has continued to enhance her impact with the Mystics ever since. A growing maturity and greater fitness levels have helped Toeava reinforce her abundant and impressive skillset which were a feature of the Mystics run to the 2021 and 2023 titles. Predominantly a wing attack, Toeava has all the skills attributed to the attacking position, including subtle and creative play, quick movement and quality ball handling, the potent and exciting arsenal helping the little midcourt pivot earn a recall to the Silver Ferns 2021/22 squad. The natural talent and flair have been boosted by Toeava’s ability to execute under pressure. The midcourt dynamo made a sensational return to the Silver Ferns line-up in 2022 where she was a dominant figure in the two Constellation Cup matches she played. Toeava first played for the Mystics in 2013 while still at school.
