Accomplished defender Sulu Fitzpatrick continues to be a compelling presence in all facets of the game. A standout from the custodian’s position of goalkeeper in recent seasons, Fitzpatrick was a key influence in the Mystics history-making win in the 2021 Grand Final. Strong in the air and a fine reader of play from the back court, the resurgent Fitzpatrick has revelled in recent years. Her growing maturity warranted an international recall in 2018, seven years after gaining a solitary test cap in 2011. She was also selected as a non-travelling reserve for the 2019 Netball World Cup. A natural leader, Fitzpatrick captained the FAST5 Ferns to the Fast5 World Series title in 2018 while her consistently impressive form ensured her retention in the 2021-22 Silver Ferns squad.
