SKYCITY Mystics – Anna Harrison

Arguably, one of world Netball’s most versatile defenders, Anna Harrison has the ability to turn the game on its head. Whether she is terrorising opposition goal shooters or sticking like glue to a speedy wing attack – Anna Harrison can do it all. Her long reach causes headaches for the opposition, coupled with her tactical nous and awareness; she could be the game changer for the SKYCITY Mystics in 2017.

Northern Stars – Kayla Cullen

At her best, Kayla Cullen is one of the most exciting talents to step foot on a Netball court. Her speed, athleticism, ability to read the play and produce that moment of brilliance is one of the reasons Stars fans will be excited to have her on their team in 2017.

WBOP Magic – Casey Kopua

She’s back! After missing the 2016 season due to the birth of her first child, Casey Kopua has put the coaching clipboard down and will return to the court in 2017. Known for her determination, passion, ability to make the big play and lead a team – Magic fans will have their cowbells ringing every time one of their favourites touches the ball.

Central Pulse – Cathrine Tuivaiti

A new city heralds a new start for Cathrine Tuivaiti who makes her way to the nation’s capital, Wellington, to kit up for the Central Pulse. Her ability to swing a game with a no-look pass, a steadying goal or a bag of 30 is what makes her a fan favourite. As the senior shooter in the team, she’ll need to bring her A-game every game if the Pulse are to feature at the business end of the season.

Mainland Tactix – Temelisi Fakahokotau

She’s tenacious, can smell an intercept and is prepared to put her body on the line for her team. When the chips are down and you need a big play, Tactix fans will be rubbing their hands together knowing they have Temelisi on their side. Whether as an impact player off the bench, or as a starter – she has the ability to change the game.

Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel – Wendy Frew

She’s the heart of the south and she’s their inspirational captain. No one typifies the spirit of the Steel more than Wendy Frew. A fearless competitor on the court, Wendy is the linchpin of the midcourt, driving the ball from defence into attack. When your back is to the wall, you want Wendy on your side; the ability to pull out the big play is why she’s the Steel’s game changers.
