Northern Stars confirm new home playing venue for 2018 season

The Northern Stars have confirmed they are moving to a new home playing venue for the 2018 ANZ Premiership season, signing a deal with Pulman Arena in Takanini.

“It is a delight to assist the Stars in bringing their exciting brand of netball to the heart of South Auckland’ says Pulman Park developer Bruce Pulman.

“Pulman Arena is there for the community and to be able to have a South Auckland team back in this level of competition is fantastic for our local region,” Pulman says.

The Northern Stars have a talented line up this year including Silver Ferns Kayla Cullen and Grace Kara (nee Rasmussen), Silver Fern and World Youth Cup gold medalist Maia Wilson, fellow NZU21 World Youth Cup teammate Fa'amu Ioane and England Roses captain, Ama Agbeze.

The Stars will play seven home games in the 2018 ANZ Premiership season including a Super Sunday bonanza with all six teams playing at the Arena. This will be followed by a back to back game on the Monday promising to be an entertaining couple of days of netball.

Both the Northern Stars and their Beko Netball League team, the Northern Comets, will continue to train at the High Wire Trust facility based in Papakura.
